DAY 3

Despite a god awful time getting to sleep and staying asleep I woke up early and a lot more refreshed than I have been in weeks.  I was cold going to sleep but after an appropriate cuddle with my husband who is also experiencing the symptoms of Keto Flue and cooler body temperatures we actually warmed up and settled in. My chest is still a little tight, but better from yesterday. I notice a little more consistent ringing in my ears right from the start of the diet. I am hoping that this may decrease a little once I get through the transition period.

I don't believe all problems can be cured, not all problems are self inflicted, some are genetic in nature, accidental, or other. Also, many long standing problems still take time to repair themselves: patience, monitoring, and taking everything one step at a time is the key to success. Also remember, exercise is as essential to a healthy life style as breathing is to staying alive.

My husband and I were discussing the levels of carnivore vs zero carb vs low card. As we all know there are extremes on all ends of the spectrum from people who say only red meat is viable to those willing to add fruit. Make your own judgement, if the body needs blood sugar it will make it just fine on its own, you don't need to add it in the form of vegetables/fruit/or grains. But if you need something, have a piece of fruit. I have read more than one blog and site stating that the nature of fructose is compatible to that of low carb diets.

BENEFIT: my teeth are less covered in morning bacteria and whiter. Fringe benefit, my husbands problematic over active plaque is no longer over active. For most of his adult life he has dealt with his teeth over producing plaque. This has caused his gums to become sensitive and inflamed, which ultimately has lead to excessive bleeding every time he brushes. He uses a sonic tooth brush along with mouth wash and toothpaste meant for this exact problem. This has allowed him to keep gum disease at bay but not get rid of it. This diet is the first time his gums have not bled and his teeth are not covered in plaque. Through our research we have found many other individuals who have claimed that their gum disease has gone away completely following this diet.

FACT: The mouth has a lot of bacteria  and enzymes in it naturally that start the digestion process the second food enters the mouth. The higher the concentration of sugars the higher the chance that the type of bacteria in our mouths will change. When I say change I mean that the natural good type will be overrun by the bad not so great type. This occurs because the type of nutrients needed for the good type disappears.

NAYSAYERS: please avoid listening to people who cannot think for themselves, this is your diet meant to help your health, not theirs. Don't let people cower you into thinking that what you have chosen to do for yourself is the bain of every vegan/normal persons existence and wrong because they say it is. They will tell you that only fibrous plant material can keep your colon clean and flowing smoothly (which is farthest from the truth). Don't let social obligation hinder you either, if anyone asks about your awesome weight loss just say you cut out sugars and leave it at that.

Currently no noticeable changes to most of the list below. The changes I have noticed is that food associated intolerances are not currently bothering me. Histamine intolerances are more than likely going to decrease because I have thrown out the histamine creating/owning foods, like so much trash on a Sunday morning. The biggest noticeable change is that the fourth finger on my right hand at the second knuckle is not so stiff or sore this morning. 

Arthritis is considered inflammation in the body and can cause tremendous pain and discomfort over the long run if not taken care of. The carnivore based diet removes out so many of these histamine based foods relieving your body of irritation, now why didn't we do this sooner we ask ourselves.

AsthmaI have had this my entire life and in the last few years it has given me a bronchial infection roughly twice a year. Ongoing problem.

Low Thyroid; I take about 3 grain natural thyroid to adjust several problems my body has I.E. supper low body temp, poor sleep and foggy mind just to name a few. Ongoing problem.

High Testosterone and low progesteronethis is something that most likely occurred over time. To a woman high testosterone is directly related to cramping, bleeding, hair loss, and a slew of other health problems. Ongoing problem.

Low MelatoninI had to add additional melatonin in the evening to be able to sleep through the night. Ongoing problem.

Histamine intolerance; this has caused some what of an auto immune problem over the fact I am now unable to eat a large number of foods that I absolutely love. When your told about 50 of your favorite foods are no longer on your list of available options, you have to wonder if it is worth eating plants at all. Due to this my bodies immune system is not as strong as it used to be and I find myself seriously sick more and more often (see asthma). Ongoing problem.

Food intolerances; milk, soy, cocoa

Tinnitusringing in the ears, unknown cause, kicked in about a year and a half ago after a severe sickness.

Arthritis; lots of use of hands over the years has caused my hands to swell when I over work them, seen most when writing, drawing, painting and other repetitive motions.

Tendinitisin both wrists but the inflammation is under control.

Bursitis in the right shoulder; inflammation of the bursa, this took a shot of cortisone into the shoulder and physical therapy. Currently under control.

Spinal Bulge4 mm L5 spinal bulge on right side requiring anti inflammatory injections and 3 months of physical therapy. Currently under control.

Ultimately I will evaluate each of the symptoms I have over the next few weeks/months/etc and see which ones are alleviated, which ones go away completely, and which ones take a step back. When you loose weight it affects any medication you are on; make sure to have your doctor re evaluate your dosage. Ultimately we want to remove as many meds as possible from our life, our body is a very natural well oiled machine that on the most part can do just that if given what it needs.

Stage II diabetes, which is running rampant in the United States can be cured through diet.

Breakfast: coffee (with coffee booster; contains coconut oil, ghee butter, vanilla bean paste 1 tsp), 1 1/2 scrambled eggs and 3 slices of bacon (I should have stopped at 2, I was overly full after that).
Snack: 2 slices bacon
Lunch: Not Hungry
Supper: 8-12 oz tri tip roast

How I felt throughout the day: Woke up headache free and another lb lighter. Coffee with coffee booster is a great start to my morning. I have experienced no constipation from this diet, in fact I am smoother and looser than I was prior to eating carnivorous. It is known that fat helps food flow through the digestive track and that fibrous foods coupled with nuts and protein is the primary cause of a backed up colon. Fallacy, fat does not turn into fat in the human body when consumed. I felt great today, normal hunger "not the panicky hungry I used to get" and easy to turn off if the food I want is not available.
