DAY 4

It's odd how we become infatuated with anything that is new in our lives. I have over searched every aspect of the carnivore diet, read blogs, watched videos, researched the specific chemistry behind the behavior, and have flat out spent way too much time here. But, what I'm finding out just makes me happier and happier. I still stand by my disclaimer that I will not recommend this diet to anyone. Any changes to your diet is purely because you have chosen to do so.

My teeth look GREAT, whiter than they have been in a long time with no changes to regiment. My waste line is slimming like there is no tomorrow (I might actually see my hips again in a few more days), every day a little thinner. I'm not loosing weight unnaturally, I'm actually burning the fat in my fat stores like I'm suppose to and I have spent less time hungry than any omnivore diet I have ever done. When I do low carb I'm hungry all the time, the weight comes off but at a cost of being hangry at any particular moment. My acne is going away like there is not tomorrow. I had a woman at the mall tell me, "Wow! You look great, have you lost weight?" I told her I removed carbs from my diet, I didn't say I removed all carbs :-P

I might miss certain foods, but I'm not sure quite yet because I'm not really craving them. How do you miss something you don't miss. It has not affected my exercise except to make it easier, since I'm pulling along more than a few less lbs. My energy level is not affected by my blood sugar levels, I'm always creating the energy I burn.

I just talked to a guy who lost 85 lb on a very low carb diet, I was buying his old "fat" clothing for my very tall, very broad shoulder son who sits at 6' 2" at 13 years old (soon to be 14). My son grows out of things extremely fast and this is the cheapest way to obtain nice clothing for him. Kudos to me, I just bought 4 North Face fall jackets and 1 Jack Wolfskin winter jacket for $200. I find everyone I have run into, who has removed a majority of carbohydrates from their diet, feels better and has lost a lot of weight.

He did say that he was not consuming enough fat and that was causing slight bowel distress. I recommended the Coffee Booster which bolsters coconut oil and ghee butter for your coffee. This is the perfect fix for those who like to eat low fat meat.

I find that so much of the information out there is faked, how many studies have been proven a second or third time. Who has retested these studies more than once to prove they can be repeated and applied to the general public. We are told things to make them appear horribly important, a must change right now. OMG eggs have high cholesterol don't eat them, two years later, wait it's the wrong type of cholesterol, you can eat eggs now. But our bodies produce cholesterol and it is essential for repair of every cell and more than a few other functions, why would we not want it.

I understand things change over time as technology and knowledge advance but this happens every time someone is going to gain monetarily from the sale of that item. How many of these studies are pushed by the pharmaceutical companies?

I kind of like this Dr. Berry's explanation of the Carnivore Diet, he really hits it on the nose: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYyA2PDyOaI

GREAT CHOLESTEROL CON! hhhmmmm
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Currently no noticeable changes to most of the list below.

Previously Noted Changes Are:
No food associated intolerances.
No Histamine based intolerance problems.
Fourth finger on my right hand at the second knuckle remains flexible and pain free.

New Noticeable Changes Are:
Disclaimer; some changes may take time to manifest. In some cases changes are noticed because problems don't manifest themselves again.
None.

AsthmaI have had this my entire life and in the last few years it has given me a bronchial infection roughly twice a year. Ongoing problem.

Low Thyroid; I take about 3 grain natural thyroid to adjust several problems my body has I.E. supper low body temp, poor sleep and foggy mind just to name a few. Ongoing problem.

High Testosterone and low progesteronethis is something that most likely occurred over time. To a woman high testosterone is directly related to cramping, bleeding, hair loss, and a slew of other health problems. Ongoing problem.

Low MelatoninI had to add additional melatonin in the evening to be able to sleep through the night. Ongoing problem.

Histamine intolerance; this has caused some what of an auto immune problem over the fact I am now unable to eat a large number of foods that I absolutely love. When your told about 50 of your favorite foods are no longer on your list of available options, you have to wonder if it is worth eating plants at all. Due to this my bodies immune system is not as strong as it used to be and I find myself seriously sick more and more often (see asthma). Ongoing problem.

Food intolerances; milk, soy, cocoa

Tinnitusringing in the ears, unknown cause, kicked in about a year and a half ago after a severe sickness.

Arthritis; lots of use of hands over the years has caused my hands to swell when I over work them, seen most when writing, drawing, painting and other repetitive motions.

Tendinitisin both wrists but the inflammation is under control.

Bursitis in the right shoulder; inflammation of the bursa, this took a shot of cortisone into the shoulder and physical therapy. Currently under control.

Spinal Bulge4 mm L5 spinal bulge on right side requiring anti inflammatory injections and 3 months of physical therapy. Currently under control.

Ultimately I will evaluate each of the symptoms I have over the next few weeks/months/etc and see which ones are alleviated, which ones go away completely, and which ones take a step back. When you loose weight it affects any medication you are on; make sure to have your doctor re evaluate your dosage. Ultimately we want to remove as many meds as possible from our life, our body is a very natural well oiled machine that on the most part can do just that if given what it needs.

Date: 4 Sept 18
Weight: 157.0 lb

Breakfast: coffee (with coffee booster; contains coconut oil, ghee butter, vanilla bean paste 1 tsp), 1 egg, 2 slices of ham (I was able to eat about 3/4 of the meal).
Snack: Not Hungry.
Lunch: Gyro Meat about 6-8 oz. OMG so delicious and lots of salt.
Supper: 1/2 steak ( couldn't finish the whole thing) 3-5 slices of mozzarella (half slices)

How I felt throughout the day: Woke up feeling a little rough, probably normal due to the previous days activities of 2 hours walking around the pumpkin fest and my evening workout of push ups, pull ups, planks, and sit ups. Those make me sore even when I'm not on any special diet. It was about 1300 when I became hungry again, but not really hungry just slightly hungry with a huge booming headache. Headache went away following lunch. Please note that I do consume roughly 2 liters of water a day now, I actually crave water and it feels very refreshing when I drink it. When I ran an omnivore diet I hated water, hated the taste, hated pretty much everything about it. I could get heartburn off water. I have taken my supplements today.

Salt is needed.
Calcium is not needed.
You will not turn into a skeleton. You only have so many fat cells in your body.
Meat has never been known to cause histamines or inflammation in the stomach.
Cholesterol is highly misunderstood.
